I took a few minutes one morning last week and whipped up several little sacks to use for produce, nuts, grains and dried fruits. I buy a lot in bulk at the co-op and needed something I could reuse. I had some unbleached muslin fabric and twill tape on hand, which worked perfectly for this little project.
I didn't follow a pattern but this tutorial here is pretty much how I sewed them. Easy Peasy.

Hi Amber, These look great! I would love to try them, but I don't know how to sew! LOL. I would really rather use these than plastic bags as well. I've always wanted to learn, and you are inspiring me to do so.. Would this be easy for someone who has never sewn before?
Ok, this is a great idea too. I use mesh bags for produce, but they don't work for grains (even if the grain is big enough to not fall through the holes, it gets everything dusty and I don't like cleaning more than is necessary). I'll definitely make some of these!! Thanks. Maybe I should pin it to remind myself, since I can't do it right now....
Could you tell me where you got the fabric from? I would love to make some of these!
