A Day of Orange

...And in case you're under the impression that my home is always calm, Burls play room at this very moment:

Nearly Eight Weeks

His eyes twinkle and his mouth curls when he smiles. Just like his daddy :).
And he just wants to cuddle and nurse. All day. All night.

A Calm Home

These are a few images from my sister's home. It's always so calm, quiet and comfortable, I miss having a home like that. I was looking through some old pictures, ones I had taken before Burl was born, and I was surprised to see how different my home looked way back then. Everything was so neat and put together. Now, it feels as though it's anything but neat and put together.

I've been making extra efforts to keep my home more tidy, but it's so difficult with a three year old. If you have any tips on keeping a home calm, quiet, tidy and comfortable with children, please share.

Burl, Bodhi and I are headed out to the farm to pick up 4 foster kittens that need to be bottle fed. Enjoy your day, friends.

Nights Like Tonight

..Thank goodness for the Mei Tai. Tonight I had a baby who just. wanted. to nurse. And a toddler who wouldn't eat dinner because he just. wanted. candy. And a husband who was exhausted from working all day, doing all he could to help me, but I knew just. wanted. to relax.

Here's a little something I'm learning about accomplishing things with two little ones:
Make a list of what you'd like to get done that day. Right away, cross off half, because there's no way as much as what I'd like to get done will actually get done. Of the remaining half, realisitcally know that I'm lucky if I get half of that half done. That's right. These days I'm running on 1/4 pace.

Cheers to being a mama with multiple children! By the way, I'm loving every. single. minute of it. Messy house and all.
