Wooden spoons from thrift stores I've collected over the years. There's something about the organic smoothness that just feels so right touching my hands and food.

Today is cool, sleepy and a little rainy, a nice break from the hot, busy week we've had. Have a nice weekend! I'll be back next week to share how I care for my wooden kitchen items.

your collection is just so beautiful
and the fact that most if not all of them were thrifted makes them very special indeed
What a lovely collection!
Oh so pretty. We have a small collection in our kitchen, including a pair of purple wooden salad tongs we were given by a poet and his wife for our wedding. I just love the stories and history behind wood... xo
nice.
sweet.
very wonderful.
good to *see* you again....
Your wooden spoon collection is beautiful! I love cooking with wooden spoons... I might need to venture out to the thrift store and see what I can find. I just stumbled on your blog today and it is so beautiful and inspiring! Thank you for that.
You have such a beautiful collection of spoons! I agree that wood feels so much more natural to use with food. It's amazing what treasures can be found at the thrift store.
This is beautiful. I bring home orphaned wooden spoons from the thrift when I find them, too. Though I don't have nearly as many as you. What a beautiful collection. (and photo)
I totally agree... They just feel so good. A beautiful collection!
love your collection of wooden spoons! Looks like a spurtle in the picture too?
